Your Trip to the Bonifaktur

To make your visit with us a full or half-day trip, here are some tips to round off the day and turn it into a little event:

For Body and Soul

Fancy lunch?

Ristorante Gennaro: Located in the enchanted castle park of Schloss Fußberg in the heart of Gauting, you can enjoy Mediterranean delicacies here.
Mythos: Gauting’s “cult Greek” – Our favorite: the cold/warm appetizer platter. An absolute delight!
Pizzeria Carmine: In the small garden behind the house, you can enjoy excellent Pasta Frutti di Mare.
Lorenz Steaks & More: Best steaks ever in a genuine saloon atmosphere.

Fancy a beer garden?

Forsthaus Kasten: The rustic beer garden lies deep in the forest between Gauting and Munich.
Schlossgaststätte Leutstetten: Located in the Würm valley between Gauting and Starnberg, this is the ideal beer garden for those who prefer a more traditional setting.

Fancy coffee and cake or ice cream?

Café Vorort: Here you’ll find delicious cakes and small snacks.
Café at Kiefl Garden Center: If you want to combine your trip with shopping for home and garden, you’ll also find a wonderful café here.
Si é Gelato: The best ice cream café in the wide area. If you love authentic Italian ice cream, you definitely should stop by!

Fancy a bit of lake air?

Steamboat ride on Lake Starnberg: From the MS Seeshaupt, you have a breathtaking view of the lake and the Alps.
Sunbathing by the lake: In the “Paradies” in Possenhofen, you lie right by the lake and still have plenty of space and privacy.
A drink on the lake terrace: At Undosa, enjoy drinks right over the water with a view of the Alps.

Fancy some culture?

Andechs Monastery: A walk up the holy mountain followed by hearty Bavarian food and monastery beer.
Fürstenfeld Monastery: Beautiful Baroque church with an attached beer garden.
Buchheim Museum: An art collection right by the lake, which pairs perfectly with a nice walk.

Of course, these are just a few highlights and there is much more to discover. Munich, naturally, as well!
