Important information! This is still the "earlier" version made from 100% Merino. The "new" version is a blend of 50% Bluefaced Leicester and 50% Falklands Merino. We will gradually restock all colors with the new quality. However, you can easily knit both qualities together without any problems!

The Knit-by-Numbers color system in DK weight – the same mathematical color precision, but for larger, faster projects.

Knit by Numbers DK brings John Arbon's numeric color concept into a thicker format: over 120 shades in 6 gradations, named by numbers instead of poetic names. The current version consists of 50% Bluefaced Leicester and 50% Falklands Merino – sheen and softness in a proven balance. Spun at the Devon mill, not superwash. (There are still Remaining Stock of the earlier version made from 100% Merino – both qualities can be easily knitted together.)

With 233 m per 100 g in DK weight, this yarn is ideal for sweaters, cardigans, and hats – projects that should grow faster than in fingering weight, without sacrificing precise color gradations. Fading, colorwork, and tonal gradients work especially impressively in the DK format because the larger stitch definition shows color areas more clearly.
