Léttlopi is the most popular yarn from ISTEX Lopi, the Icelandic state yarn mill. 100% Icelandic Virgin Wool from one of the purest native breeds in the world – sheep that have lived in Iceland for over a thousand years and produce wool with a unique two-layer structure: the outer Toga fiber (long, smooth, water-repellent) and the inner Þel fiber (fine, soft, insulating). Together they create a yarn that is amazingly warm yet light, with a rustic texture you can feel immediately.

With 100 m per 50 g in Aran weight, Léttlopi knits up quickly and is ideal for traditional Lopapeysa sweaters, jackets, hats, and Gloves. 45 Colors – from natural white and natural black to vibrant multicolored tones for the classic shoulder patterns.
